If you are wanting a “hands on” experience at stained glass combined with wood, then this taster course is for you, it’s your opportunity to learn key skills to begin a new glass hobby at home or for a business.

What does the course cover?
This course provides a practical look at making a practical Cheese/Bread board
How and why choosing the right glass is important and there is plenty of beautiful glass to choose from.
- Understand how and why a pattern is formed within certain criteria
- How to position your selected pre-cut glass … and why certain “cuts” cant be made by hand!
- Strength & weaknesses in design
- The soldering process
- Cementing & Polishing
- Oiling & buffing the board
You will use one of the pre-cut glass designs and make decisions about your wood.
What do I need to bring?
Nothing but your friendly self and a sturdy pair of closed-toed shoes.
All materials & tools are provided.
What are the course times?
The course starts at 10am and finishes by 12@30ish.

Cancellations:
Courses are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Please check you can attend the date/time before booking as mistakes cannot be rectified afterwards, and we can’t reimburse you or offer catch-ups for any missed sessions. We are a small business and need classes to run at full occupancy so we can keep the lights on and our bellies full!
Glass workshops will be held in THE GLASS GARDEN STUDIO which is located behind our bungalow called “Lorna Doone”, White Ox Mead Lane, Peasedown St John BA2 8PJ …. you need to drive down Eckweek Lane and we are behind the white bungalow just by the mini roundabout.
