Fusing Glass in a Microwave!

For Beginners/Intermediate
This is a full day workshop to allow time to fuse
You will be making a number of fused glass items in various colours which can include a metal hanger to display your work – you will also make Tea Light glass panels which will be attached to a glass base.
What does the course cover?
- Learn the fantastically adaptable art of glass fusing in a microwave oven at home!
- Create fun items for the home and for gifts.
- How to assemble your structure, add embellishments, colour and decorations.
We will be working with resistant high temperature firing paper which you will construct your work on. Then you can add embellishments such as glass Beads, Fine coloured glass, Paints & Stringers to enhance your work.
Learn the best way and additional processes to complete this course – ideal for beginners and improvers who want to get creative.
This is a great way to get stuck into glass fusing and make something both simple and creative on a budget.
Your glass work will be fired in our microwave kiln in the GLASS GARDEN STUDIO throughout the day which you can take home when cooled.
What do I need to bring?
Nothing but your friendly self and a sturdy pair of closed-toed shoes. All materials & tools are provided although you will need to bring along a packed lunch.

Glass workshops will be held in THE GLASS GARDEN STUDIO which is located behind our bungalow called “Lorna Doone”, White Ox Mead Lane, Peasedown St John BA2 8PJ …. you need to drive down Eckweek Lane and we are behind the white bungalow just by the mini roundabout.
