If you are wanting a “hands on” experience at this traditional glass craft, then this is the course for you, its your opportunity to learn key skills to begin a new glass hobby at home or for a business.

What does the course cover?
This day workshop provides a practical look at making traditional stained glass into something a little more practical.
How and why choosing the right glass is important and there is plenty of beautiful glass to choose from.
- Understand how and why a pattern is formed within certain criteria
- How to Cut your selected glass … and why certain “cuts” cant be made by hand!
- Suitability, strength & weaknesses of patterns
- How to get creative with Copper Foil and Lead.
- The soldering process.
Note: This course involves working with lead and for safety reasons please note that Lead is Toxic and pregnant women are strongly advised to stay away from stained glass activities.
What do I need to bring?
Nothing but your friendly self and a sturdy pair of closed-toed shoes.
All materials & tools are provided.
We have a small break at 12:30 for 30 minutes – please bring something to eat!
What are the course times?
The course starts at 10am and finishes by 3pm(ish).
